Soaring home prices in Charlotte outpace national growth

CHARLOTTE — Home prices in the Charlotte metro continue to soar at double-digit rates, as evidenced by two separate trackers of U.S. housing values that came out Tuesday.

The S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller index shows prices in the Charlotte area rose 13.5% year over year in March, slightly above the national increase of 13.2%.
