South Carolina’s U.S. Senate candidates agree to televised debate

SOUTH CAROLINA — The two U.S. Senate candidates for South Carolina have agreed to a televised debate.

Darline Graham accepted an invitation from Dr. Annie Andrews late last week.

The debate is scheduled for Oct. 11. It will air on South Carolina’s statewide public broadcasting network, SCETV.

According to our partners at WCIV in Charleston, Graham emphatically accepted Andrews’ invitation with a passionate statement Friday evening.

“I’m in. On October 11, I will take the debate stage and expose Annie Andrews’ radical positions she’s spent the last year hiding from South Carolina families,” Graham said. “This is your seat, South Carolina, and it will be my honor to show you why I am ready to continue serving you and representing our conservative values in Washington.”

This comes after Andrews publicly challenged Graham to at least three debates since she entered the race.

Voters will choose between Graham and Andrews in November’s election.
