YORK COUNTY, S.C. — A driver was hit and killed early Saturday morning after their car broken down along Interstate 77 in York County.
The crash happened just after 2:30 a.m., just south of Gold Hill Road in the southbound lanes of I-77.
A horrible accident overnight on I-77 in York County. Troopers say a car broke down in the SB lanes in Fort Mill around 2:30 in the morning. Another car drove up, hit the back of the disabled car, which hit the victim, who was standing outside the car in the roadway.

Troopers said a car had broken down when another car drove by and hit the disabled car, which hit and killed the driver who had gotten out of the car.
The name of the driver who died has not been released.
Authorities have not said what led up to the crash or if anyone will face charges.
