CHARLOTTE — The Truist Championship and Quail Hollow Club are launching an annual Access, Opportunity & Development Summit for women, with Quail Hollow hosting the first event on Aug. 23 and Aug. 24.
Tournament sponsors Truist Financial Corp., Atrium Health and Hendrick Automotive Group are teaming up with the club to celebrate and elevate women’s golf at the summit.
UNC Charlotte’s women’s golf team is the host school. Six players each from five women’s teams — Appalachian State, Gardner-Webb, North Carolina A&T, College of Charleston and Winthrop University — will join six UNC Charlotte women’s golfers for a day-long networking and educational/development series on Sunday, Aug. 23, followed by a 36-hole golf competition on Aug. 24.
Organizers also plan to take the summit to different courses and host venues in future years.
