SCOTLAND COUNTY, N.C. — The Scotland County Sheriff's Office is investigating after two inmates were stabbed at a state prison in Scotland County Saturday afternoon.
The two attacks happened at the Scotland Correctional Institution.

The Scotland County Sheriff's Office said one inmate stabbed another inmate in the eye.
A second stabbing happened an hour later, officials said.

Authorities did not say if both are connected and they have not released the conditions of those inmates.
Two months ago, an inmate attacked a worker at the same prison.
