MONROE, N.C. — North Carolina's Democratic Party has suspended the Union County branch.
The state party told The Enquirer-Journal that too many people have complained about the group.
The Union County branch called that ridiculous and said it is business as usual.
The state Democratic Party said a council of review will investigate the temporary suspension.
Earlier this year, an argument led to a reported assault and members filed complaints about the election process.
