Venezuelan food truck celebrates couple’s home country and life they’ve built

CHARLOTTE — You truly never know where life will take you.

For one Mooresville couple, what started during the pandemic as cooking food from their home country for friends, turned into a Venezuelan street food truck.

Luis Salas and his husband Fernando’s business is a lesson in perseverance and following your heart.

“When you do everything with passion and with your heart, definitely everything is going to be great,” Salas said.

>> As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month this year, we’re taking you to Flavor Home in this edition of Your704, in the video at the top of this page.

You can visit Flavor Home on South Boulevard in South End from Thursday through Sunday nights, and also sometimes in Mooresville. Check their social media for where they set up.
