Iconic White’s Restaurant in Belmont closing its doors after 41 years

BELMONT, N.C. — White’s Restaurant in Belmont said it will be closing its doors after 41 years.

The family-owned business has been closed since March 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions, but said that because of the pandemic, it will not be reopening.

“After many prayers, thoughts, and consideration, we have decided to close our family business, White’s Restaurant. The decision to close our restaurant after 41 wonderful years is filled with much regret and tremendous sadness which hasn’t been easy,” the restaurant posted on Facebook.

The restaurant said it is planning a day for a final goodbye, and will share more information soon.

“From the bottom of our hearts, we wanted to truly thank every customer, employee, and anyone else that has made this a wonderful and blessed journey. We will miss all of you,” the restaurant added on Facebook.
