• Woman, 2 men accused of robbery, shooting, stealing car at apartment complex

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A man was robbed and shot outside a northeast Charlotte apartment complex and police said three people stole the car he was in.

    The shooting happened just before 3 a.m. Thursday on Countryside Drive.

    Police said when they got to the apartment complex, they found two men who said they had been robbed. One of the victims had been shot in the upper leg, according to officials.

    MEDIC took the man to the hospital, and he is expected to be OK.

    Investigators said the two victims were sitting in a car in the apartment complex's parking lot when a woman came up to them.

    After the victims got out of the car, two men robbed them at gunpoint, shot one of the victims, and then stole their car.

    The vehicle is described as a black passenger car, but it is unclear what the exact make and model is. 

    No other information has been released.
