Zakaryia Abdin, 18, was arrested March 30 at Charleston International Airport. The FBI said he was planning to travel to Jordan to join ISIS.

Newly unsealed documents in the case lay out the details of Abdin’s case. The 18-year-old dreamed of replicating the Orlando nightclub massacre but instead, he decided he could better serve ISIS by joining the terror group in the Middle East, according to FBI documents.

The affidavit also said that Abdin conspired online for weeks with an undercover FBI agent about his plans to go to the Middle East.
