YORK COUNTY, N.C. — A long-awaited York County park is set to open with new disc golf and bike trails.
The Catawba Bend Preserve opens on Oct. 17.
This will be York County’s biggest and newest county-run park and is set to open with two disc golf courses and 10 miles of mountain bike trails.
According to York County SC’s Facebook page, the grand opening on Oct. 17 will begin at 8:45 a.m. and is set to include a ribbon-cutting, park dedications, and food trucks. The park will officially open to the public at 1 p.m.
The mountain bike trails will have riding areas for beginners and experts.
