CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Sunday's Super Bowl is waging many wars besides the one between the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos.
Mayors, fire departments, religious leaders and retirement communities are placing friendly bets on the two teams.
The University of North Carolina-Charlotte announced its own social media “like” battle Tuesday with Colorado University-Denver.
The secretaries of state in North Carolina and Colorado have put food drives on the line.
Fire trucks in either Denver, North Carolina or Denver Colorado will hoist team flags depending on who loses.
Channel 9 made a wager with the ABC affiliate in Denver over social media.
