CHARLOTTE — ABOVE: The latest forecast update from Severe Weather Center 9. To stay on top of changing weather conditions, be sure to download our free WSOC-TV weather app.
FORECAST:
- It will be slightly cooler and less humid today, but all that really does is keep us out of the heat advisory.
- We still heat up to the mid 90s and it will still feel around 100 degrees with the heat index. So, not really that much of a change.
- Storm chances also take a break for a few days before returning this weekend.
- A stronger cold front brings more relief with this weekend with temps just near 90 and some lower humidity by Sunday.
No Heat Advisory for the Charlotte metro today, but it continues southeast. Heat index values there still reach 105° or higher. It will feel just near 100° in Charlotte, so better, but not by that much. pic.twitter.com/8FOio9swyu
