  • A few more quiet days before things turn wet this weekend.
  • Sunshine and highs warming to the mid 80s this afternoon.
  • We remain dry tomorrow, but clouds start to gather. This will hold temps down to the mid to upper 70s.
  • Hurricane Isaias continues to strengthen this morning and may reach category 2 status before making landfall tomorrow night along the Gulf Coast.
  • We still don’t get direct impacts from the storm, but we do get rain and some breezy conditions.
  • The rain timeline has sped up a bit with showers starting during the day Saturday and really picking up as the day goes on.
  • The heaviest rains fall Saturday night into Sunday morning with an easing by Sunday afternoon.
  • Winds may gust to around 30 mph at times with higher gusts in the mountains.
  • One other threat we will keep an eye on is a low tornado threat. This may end up being more of an issue by Sunday afternoon as some slightly warmer air comes in at the tail end of the storm.
  • Drier conditions arrive by Monday and we stay quiet into next week.
