FORECAST:
- Downpours from Tuesday night have moved on, and heat and humidity will return Wednesday afternoon.
- Highs return to the mid-90s, and heat index values will reach above 100 degrees.
- Storm chances are lower on Wednesday, with the mountains having the best chance.
- Even more heat is coming for the rest of the week.
- We’ll hit the upper 90s by Friday, and we may see some heat advisories with the heat index eclipsing 105 degrees in spots.
- Weekend highs will be in the 90s.
- By next week, this could become the longest stretch of 90-degree days this season.
