Sip and serve: Wine Walk series benefits area nonprofits

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Blakeney Shopping Center in Charlotte is hosting a Wine Walk series that benefits area nonprofits. Each event will have wine samplings and education, live music and other activities.

Attendees can purchase tickets for $25 as a donation to the featured monthly charity. The ticket price includes a tasting cup, wine tote, wristband, passport and access to samples of wine in the participating retail shops.

The donations from the August event went to the Second Harvest Food Bank’s Backpack Program.

The next walk will take place on Sept. 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and donations will go to the Isabella Santos Foundation.

The last event will be on Oct. 7 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and donations will benefit the Pat’s Place Child Advocacy Center.
