CHARLOTTE — A Charlotte-born sports bar and grill abruptly closed four local restaurants.
Hickory Tavern served its last meals at Mooresville, Huntersville and Charlotte’s Providence Road locations on Sunday, according to The Charlotte Observer. Another location in South Carolina also closed.
Officials say they’re prioritizing Hickory Tavern locations that are “best positioned for long-term success.”
The latest closures bring the chain’s total locations to 16, with area restaurants in north Charlotte, Ballantyne, Steele Creek, Indian Trail, Rock Hill and Gastonia.
