Cleveland County residents can receive love, boxes of blessings at giveaway event

A Shelby nonprofit is planning an event to shower love on Cleveland County residents in need.

Cleveland County Rescue Mission is holding its first-ever Boxes of Blessings event on July 8 from noon to 2 p.m. at 1100 Buffalo Street.

During the drive-through event, organizers will give away a variety of needed items including free hot lunches, boxes of fresh produce, hygiene kits and masks.

Items will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cleveland County Rescue Mission works to provide shelter, recovery programs, and support services to homeless men, women and children.
