Carowinds transforms into holiday wonderland for WinterFest

Carowinds has transformed into a holiday wonderland full of cheer and classic family fun for WinterFest, open select nights through Dec. 31.

The park shines bright with more than 5 million lights while live shows and strolling performers entertain guests of all ages.

In addition, there are hands-on holiday activities, an outdoor ice rink, horse-drawn carriage rides, festive foods available for purchase and more than 20 rides open, including Afterburn, Carolina Skytower, Copperhead Strike, Zephyr, Rock 'N' Roller and Electro-Spin. Click here for the full list.

Plus, new this year, the Wonderland Parade marches through the park each night at 9 p.m.
