BELMONT, N.C. — A pandemic won’t stop Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden from glowing this holiday season.
The garden’s annual Holidays at the Garden event is open now through Jan. 3, 2021.
The show will be a bit smaller than in years past, but there will still be plenty to see, including the popular musically-orchestrated topiary display, blossoming lighted cherry trees and more than 10 acres of colorful cascading lights.
In addition to the holiday lights, there will be food trucks and fire pits for roasting marshmallows.
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, there will not be any live entertainment and Santa won’t be visiting this year. The popular Orchid Tree, featuring more than 300 live orchids, will be on display, but the Orchid Conservatory and Lost Hollow the Children’s Garden will remain closed.
Holidays at the Garden will shine brightly from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
Advance tickets will be available for 5, 6:30 and 8 p.m. arrival times.
Tickets can be purchased in advance online.
Admission cost $14.95 for adults, $12.95 for seniors ages 60 and older, and $7.95 for children ages 2-12. Children younger than 2 are admitted free.
