Krispy Kreme Doughnuts will celebrate the end of summer by bringing back its popular lemon glazed doughnut for one week beginning Aug. 27.

Earlier this year, fans chose lemon as the new flavor for Krispy Kreme's famous original glazed doughnut over three others during the brand’s #VoteForGlaze campaign, which attracted nearly two million votes.
The lemon glazed doughnut made its debut in April and was available for one week only.
But in a sweet turn of events, Krispy Kreme has decided it’s not quite ready to let go of summer.
“Bringing back the perfect pairing of zesty fresh lemon and sweet original glaze is an awesome way to stretch summer out just a bit longer,” said Alison Holder, head of U.S. Marketing for Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.
The doughnut will return for one week only Monday, Aug. 27 through Sunday, Sept. 2 at participating Krispy Kreme shops across the United States and Canada.
