3-Alarm Fire Breaks Out At Charlotte Condos

CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — The Red Cross is helping at least 12 families find shelter after a fire on Tuesday night in south Charlotte.

Firefighters were called to the Queens Station Condos on Queens Road just after 8 p.m. Video taken by a resident shows flames on multiple floors of the building.

No one was hurt. At least one family pet was killed.

Firefighters said four apartments were destroyed. They fought flames for about 45 minutes.

"It was a lot of fire," Chief Jon Hannan said. "It was a time in the evening when most people aren't asleep. Things like that worked in our favor."

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
