Boy's service dog poses for adorable yearbook photo

Presley Ware and Steph Ware

WEST MONROE, Louisiana — A boy and his dog are both featured in the boy’s yearbook, for good reason.

Joseph "Seph" Ware, 14, of West Monroe, La., has Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a diagnosis he was given at the age of 3, according to AL.com. The genetic condition causes progressive muscle weakness, with most patients confined to wheelchairs by the time they are teens.

When picture day came around at Seph’s school, school officials decided to include Presley, the boy’s service dog.

That is because Presley has been with Seph for the past 4 years and goes to school with him.
