A Charlotte interstate made the list for one of the worst areas for commuters.
A study from The Daily Beast looked at GPS and cell phone data nationwide to come up with the list. The study looked at factors including the time it takes to navigate a road during rush hour compared to other times and the average time it takes to drive a mile.
Interstate 485 eastbound from South Tryon Street to Pineville-Matthews Road ranked 31st on the list. The study said at the busiest time, drivers are going less than three miles an hour there. (Click here for real-time traffic information from Traffic Team 9.)
In the Raleigh area, I-40 near Airport Boulevard came in 47th on the list.
