NAUVOO, Ala. — A 70-year-old Alabama man shot and killed his son while on a video call with a relative, investigators said. The man then turned the gun on himself.
David Michael King, of Nauvoo, is believed to have shot his son, Brandon King, 38, while speaking with a woman described as a female relative.

He showed the woman Brandon King's body and vowed to kill himself if deputies showed up, AL.com reported. A deputy responding to the scene heard a single gunshot from inside the house.
Brandon King was found dead in his bed. David King was rushed to a hospital, where he died, the news site said.

The motive for the apparent murder-suicide is not known.
