CHARLOTTE — Two people were hurt in a tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 77 Thursday morning, authorities said.
The crash happened around 2 a.m. on I-77 South, north of Interstate 85 near Cindy Lane.
According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, it involved a tractor-trailer and “multiple” vehicles.
Paramedics said one person was taken to the hospital with “life-threatening” injuries and another was treated, but they weren’t seriously hurt.

All lanes of southbound traffic except for one lane were closed while authorities investigated.
The lanes were not expected to reopen until 6 a.m.
