1 killed in wreck involving motorcycle, Mooresville police say

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A 44-year-old passenger on a motorcycle died Tuesday when it collided with a truck near a Mooresville intersection, police said Wednesday.

At about 7:10 p.m., officers were called to West Iredell Avenue near North Academy Street.

Theescha Renea Proctor, of Mooresville, died at the scene, police said. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck was not treated.

The investigation is ongoing.
