1 killed in I-485 wreck in south Charlotte, Highway Patrol says

CHARLOTTE — A fatal crash occurred in south Charlotte early Thursday morning leaving one person dead, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

The wreck happened on the Interstate 485 outer loop between Rea Road and Providence Road, which closed the area temporarily.

Medic confirmed that two patients were sent to the hospital with minor injuries.

The accident is still under investigation.
