Man killed in collision with tractor-trailer in Mount Holly, police say

MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. — A man was killed after the vehicle he was driving pulled out in front of a tractor-trailer Tuesday afternoon in Mount Holly, police said.

The collision happened at about 4:15 p.m. on Mountain Island Highway near Sandy Ford Road.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was taken to a hospital but will be OK, officials said.

No further information has been released.
