UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Family of a man who died in a motorcycle crash remembers him as “an absolute light in this world.”
Trevor Brown died following a crash on October 9 on Morgan Mill Road at the Monroe Expressway on-ramp.
According to the Monroe Police Department, Brown was driving a motorcycle and was hit by Bradey Junior Maske of Marshville, who was in a truck.
Maske was eventually charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle. According to the arrest warrant, the crash occurred as Maske made a left turn.
Brown’s mom, Ruthie Allen Cox, said her son was just 25 years old and had his whole life ahead of him.
She said he was talking about marriage with his girlfriend and was working in commercial HVAC.
Regarding the crash, she said, “This loss is tragic and leaves a void in our family that could never be filled. We don’t have anything to say about the driver’s arrest. We just beg and pray people will look twice and save a life.”
Cox went on to say Brown’s cherished life continues through organ donation. She said this brings comfort to the family, knowing at least 6 lives will be extended.
Brown’s boss started this fundraiser to help Brown’s family with funeral costs. You can donate here.
