2 accused of selling thousands of dollars' worth of fake handbags

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two people from Charlotte are accused of selling thousands of dollars' worth of fake purses, handbags and wallets in York County.

Deputies said they were selling the merchandise at the Barnyard flea market near the state line.

They recovered nearly 100 bags that were knockoffs of Gucci, Coach, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and others.

Deputies said if the purses were real, they would've been worth $50,000.
