CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two Charlotte doctors were some of the first in the world to perform a life-saving surgery to babies in the womb.
They performed a mock surgery Wednesday, showing how they would treat a rare condition with mothers carrying multiples.
When one fetus does not fully develop and has no heart, it can cause serious stress on the healthy baby.
One of the doctors says this is an exciting time in the medical world.
