LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — A second person wanted in connection with a break-in and theft at the East Lincoln Christian Ministries on Catawba Burris Road in Denver was arrested Friday morning.
Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Detective Mark Stamey arrested Elizabeth Parker, 33, of Maiden, after she turned herself in at the East Lincoln District Sheriff's Office around 11 a.m.
Sarah Elizabeth Leatherman, 44, of Maiden, was taken into custody around 10 a.m. Thursday at a residence in the 7700 block of Skyline Drive, Sherrills Ford, without incident.
Stamey said the suspects are accused of breaking into the East Lincoln Christian Ministries, a nonprofit Christian Outreach, around 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 30. Entry into the building was made through an access door and property valued at $1,000 was stolen. The suspect returned to the store around 6:30 a.m. and retrieved another $150 worth of clothing.
Leatherman and Parker are charged with two felony counts of breaking and entering and two felony counts of larceny after breaking and entering. They were placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $3,500 secured bond each.
