CHARLOTTE — Three people were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries after an overturned vehicle crash in northwest Charlotte Thursday morning, MEDIC said.
It happened around 7 a.m. on Interstate 485 Inner just before Brookshire Boulevard.
One car was flipped over in the median. There were also cars on the shoulder.
The crash caused heavy delays in both directions and temporarily shut down all lanes of the inner loop.

As of 8 a.m., the left lane of I-485 Outer was still closed as crews worked to clear the vehicle from the median.
Channel 9 is asking for more information about what led up to the crash.
