CHARLOTTE — A bicyclist who was hit last week in Plaza Midwood has died from her injuries, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
The crash happened Thursday night near Hamorton Place, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police report. Kristie Crowder, 30, died on Friday at the hospital, CMPD reported on Monday.
The Charlotte Fire Department and paramedics also responded to the scene. Officers found a car with front and windshield damage and an unconscious bicyclist located in the roadway.
CMPD told Channel 9 last week the driver was not facing any charges. The crash is still under investigation.
A Gofundme account has been set up to help Crowder’s family with medical expenses and funeral costs.
