Local response to the historic flooding in Louisiana continues to grow Tuesday.
The Red Cross and members of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association are headed to Louisiana to deliver aid.
They'll join members of the Boone-based Samaritan’s Purse who said local crews were also on the way to help.
Officials said they were there during another storm on Memorial Day.
Rivers in Louisiana are expected to crest Tuesday while others are already at record levels.
Entire neighborhoods are surrounded by water.
The death toll now stands at seven, but it is expected to climb.
A movie studio lot was turned into an evacuation center.
More than 11,000 people are staying in shelters.
More than 20,000 have been rescued, with some plucked from the water by Coast Guard chopper.
