CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. — A Camp Lejeune active-duty Marine has been charged with child sex crimes, officials said, WCTI reported.
Justin Collins, 21, was charged with one count of solicitation of a child by computer, first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and taking indecent liberties with a child.
According to authorities, Collins was accused of messaging two teen girls on Snapchat. One of the teens had been in contact with Collins for several months, officials said.
Officers said criminal charges were initially filed after Collins said he wanted to have sex with one of the girls and offered to meet her in Pender County.
Collins is being held at the Pender County Jail. His bail was set at $200,000.
