Police: Speed, alcohol possible factors to car wreck injuring 4

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A car lost control and ended up in a ditch with water, according to police.

The accident happened around 8 p.m. Saturday on Shopton Road West in Charlotte.

Four people were in the car – a man who was driving, a woman and two kids. All were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said alcohol and speed may have been contributing factors.
