Celebrities flock to Charlotte and party in Uptown

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Celebrities flocked to Charlotte Wednesday night to hear former President Bill Clinton speak and attend a variety of A-list parties.

Actresses Natalie Portman and Alfre Woodard were spotted by Eyewitness News crews headed into Time Warner Cable arena.

Actress Jessica Alba and her husband, Cash Warren, were photographed inside 5Church restaurant in uptown, along with "Gilmore Girls" actress Alexis Bledel.

At the N.C. Music Factory, hundreds of fans waited in long lines to see a sold-out Foo Fighters show.

Concert-goer Shawn Miller was excited for the show and for the star power the Democratic National Convention was attracting.

"Yes it's exciting. It's great. Why wouldn't it be?" Miller said.

At the Music Factory's main entrance, a VIP entrance was set up for the Creative Coalition's bash, with actors Tim Daly and Patricia Arquette expected to attend, along with a performance by the B-52s.

In South End, Amos is hosting "Got Your Six," an event to support the troops overseas. Actress Eva Longoria is headlining the event, along with rapper Flo Rida.

The All American Pub played host to VotoLatino, with actresses America Ferrara, Rosario Dawson and Ashley Judd on the guest list.
