CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Several Charlotte artists have joined together in an effort to provide people of color more representation in the arts.
According to a practitioner’s guide released by the American Psychological Association, when children have a positive view of their racial and ethnic identity, it helps their self-esteem.
Channel 9′s DaShawn Brown talked to the founders of the new nonprofit who are on a mission to feature more children of color on screens and in magazines.
