The Knights played the songs “Sweet Caroline” and “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” on their loudspeakers.

Those people around uptown stepped outside and sang along.

“The hard part is you can’t see them, you can’t go shake their hand, you can’t go give them a hug. The only way we can support them is at least come out here and sing a song,” said Steve Weigel, Wild Wing Cafe CEO.

The songs were also broadcast on the radio so those who live outside uptown could sing along.

Organizers said they are doing this every Friday night at 7 p.m.
