CHARLOTTE — Friday marks 25 years since the 9/11 attacks, but for many survivors, the memories remain fresh.
Channel 9’s Erika Jackson spoke with one of those survivors. Kathleen Britton now lives in Charlotte, but she lived and worked in New York on 9/11.
She remembered encountering a group of visitors and helping them get to safety.
“I saved some lives that day,” she said. “In order to save those lives, I had to panic and not run.”
