CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police confirmed a child was struck while waiting for the bus just before 7 a.m. Wednesday.

The accident happened at the intersection of Hubbard Road and Lowen Road in north Charlotte.
No additional information has been released.
According to police, the child suffered minor injuries.
