CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police said a child was hit by a car near Romare Bearden Park in uptown Charlotte Friday evening.
Chopper 9 Skyzoom flew over the scene on West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and South Mint Street around 6 p.m.
We saw a young girl being loaded onto a stretcher.
Police said the child was taken to the hospital but is expected to be OK.
No further information has been released.
