CLEVELAND COUNTY, N.C. — Cleveland County has partnered with the local United Way and area partners to help provide emergency assistance.
Coronavirus: County-by-County COVID-19 Resource Guide
The Cleveland County COVID-19 Community Relief Fund started with $50,000 from the county and $10,000 from a community partner. The combined $60,000 has been given to United Way of Cleveland County, and that money will be distributed to help organizations that are assisting families.
FUND INFORMATION:
- The intention of this fund is to provide for major expenses that, if not paid, could have long-term, negative impacts on credit such as housing payments, car payments or necessary medical expenses.
- .All donations made to the fund will be used to help families struggling from impacts of COVID-19. The United Way will administer the grant process with community-based organizations that will facilitate the awards to individuals and families.
- Requirements to receive assistant must have been employed and lost work or hours due to the COVID-19 virus and must live in Cleveland County.
- Those experiencing a hardship due to COVID-19 that would like to learn about assistance may go online at uwclevco.org and complete an application or call the United Way of Cleveland County at 704-482-7344.
