Death investigation underway after man found shot in north Charlotte hotel

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are conducting a death investigation after a man was found shot in a north Charlotte hotel room.

Officers responded around noon Saturday to the hotel on Hankins Road near W W.T. Harris Boulevard.

The man was taken to a local hospital but did not survive. His name has not been released.

No other details have been released at this point. This is an ongoing investigation.
