CHARLOTTE — An investigation is underway after a crash killed one person in north Charlotte, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
It happened just after 3:30 a.m. on Saturday morning along Old Statesville Road. Part of Interstate 77 near Gibbon Road was closed because of the crash.
Just before noon, MEDIC confirmed that one person was killed.
It is unclear what led up to the crash. Channel 9 is working to learn more.
