CMPD looks for person who abandoned dog in dumpster at northeast Charlotte apartment

CHARLOTTE — Investigators are looking for the person who abandoned a dog in a dumpster.

The dog was found on Feb. 5 at the Cheshire Chase Apartments in northeast Charlotte, said officials with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Animal Care and Control.

The dog had its legs tied together.

It is now in the care of Forgotten, Now Family animal rescue.

The rescue and Crime Stoppers are offering a reward for information in this case.
