CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is helping students from all over the world feel ready to tackle the school year in the Queen City.
The Hope Boutique at CMS’s International Center in south Charlotte provides children from other countries with gently used clothes and other school supplies donated by the community.
District Social Worker Stephanie Jazmine helps out at the boutique and told Channel 9 the main goal is to get young minds ready to learn.
“We want them to feel prepared for school and ready to learn, and we know part of learning includes making sure your basic needs are met,” Jazmine said.
The items are provided in part by donations through the Assistance League of Charlotte. You can help by clicking this link.
