Cornelius estate sells for steep discount at auction

CORNELIUS, N.C. — A Lake Norman estate sold this summer in an auction at a steep discount from its original asking price of $10.2 million.

Mecklenburg County real estate records show the Cornelius home on Jetton Road sold for $5.8 million on July 31, about a month after the auction ended. The auction ran from June 17-30, with bids starting at $5.05 million. Concierge Auctions, a luxury real estate auction marketplace based in New York City, led the process.
